In this section, you can choose a lesson, discover tips to help you read better, check a summary of your your progress, update your profile or navigate to different parts of the course like Word Bank, Results or Settings.
You can choose a lesson from the topics on the menu page. First choose a topic that interests you and then browse the list of lessons. Choose a lesson and click Start Lesson to begin studying.
You can also search for a lesson on a topic that interests you. Type in a key word and then select an area of the course that you would like to search. The lesson menu will refresh with a list of lessons that meet your search criteria. Then click Start Lesson to begin studying.
Or you can click on any of the Categories. Each category contains a number of lessons. Click on the title and the lesson menu will refresh with a list of lessons that meet your search criteria. Then click Start Lesson to begin studying.
You can also see a list of the most popular lessons. These are lessons that other students have rated. Click on a lesson title. The lesson menu page will refresh with more information about that lesson. Click Start Lesson to begin studying.
Read the title, and the brief description of the article. If you think it sounds interesting, click Start Lesson to begin studying.
You can start a lesson and then leave it at any time. Click Continue Lesson to return to where you left.
When you finish the lesson, it will be marked as completed and will show your best score and any comments you left.
You can also leave more comments or follow the discussion about the article by clicking on Comments.
You can take a lesson as many times as you like. You can also take a lesson at any level. To change the level, click Settings. This will show you your recommended level. You can select any of the levels and the lesson menu will refresh and show you lessons at that level. You can also click CHANGE LEVEL and you will go directly to the Settings.
In the Reading Tips section, you can see a useful tip to help improve your reading skills. Click the Reading Tips section if you want to see a list of all the tips. Click Printer Friendly Version to print this list.
You can also see a summary of your progress on the lesson menu page. This widget shows you how much of the course you have completed, how many lessons you have studied and how many comments you have posted. A lesson is counted as studied when you have passed it at one level.
Your personal profile consists of a photo and a short biography. You can set this from mypage by clicking on update profile. If you don't have mypage, go to the Change Your Profile setting at the top of the page. The profile is especially important for the Comments section of the course. Communication works best when you know a little bit about who you are talking to so we recommend uploading an image and short description of yourself.
